The Quetico Superior Foundation supports the protection of the boundary lakes regions of Minnesota and Canada. Partnering with other environmental organizations, the Foundation carries out its mission through educational initiatives, community awareness, legislative awareness campaigns, conservation projects, and through its wide-reaching newsletter, Wilderness News. In 2001, Eaton & Associates worked with the Foundation to redesign the newsletter, which reaches over 18,000 readers across the United States and Canada. We developed a tri-fold tabloid size format; it is both efficient to mail and provides more space for stories. We introduced a 100% recycled paper, and the newsletter is printed entirely with soy-based inks, reducing the chemical waste caused during the printing process. With more space for feature stories, there is more space for maps, full-color photos, and illustrations. In addition to the design and production of each issue, we also fulfill editorial, copywriting, and copyediting tasks with direction from the Foundation. Wilderness News is a vital resource for the many visitors to the border lakes region, who have experienced its rare beauty, and hope to preserve it. We are privileged to be a part of this ongoing conservation effort. If you would like to receive a complimentary subscription to Wilderness News, please write to:
